Drainage geocomposites refer to a special type of coupled geosynthetic products that, thanks to the filtration and permeability features of non-woven fabrics and the high percentage of empty volume between the filters, create a preferential path to drain percolating water.
TeMa drainage geocomposite range includes one or two non-woven fabrics coupled to textured membranes, monofilament or extruded meshes. Textured membranes are made of HDPE and are classified based on their thickness or compressive strength; they are coupled with non-woven fabrics and are used as drainage geocomposites both in the construction field – for foundation works or flat coverings – and in landfills, tunnels or other applications.
Drainage products comprising an inner core obtained by extruding synthetic monofilament twisted and welded in contact points can be thermocoupled to one or two filtering geofabrics.
Characterized by a very high percentage of empty volume, monofilament can be used in the construction field, as well as in landfills, tunnels and synthetic turf soccer fields.
Lastly, extruded meshes are drainage geocomposites comprising an HDPE geomesh with two twisted wires coupled to one or two geofabrics, often used to drain landfill bottoms, thanks to the low compressibility of the product.
