TeMa offerings in terms of facings include a full range of reinforced soil formwork and modular concrete blocks for building retaining walls.
The formwork consists in electrically welded wire mesh structures with variable spacing, for use in reinforced soil projects. The sole purpose of the formwork is to give the reinforced soil face a given angle, determined by the design, and uniform surface. Therefore, it has no structural function and does not help stabilize the wall. TeMa provides a range of reinforced soil formwork from 65° to 80°, together with technical support for sizing the reinforced soil walls properly.
The retaining walls are produced with modular concrete blocks, which are easy to lay, and can be reinforced on the back with geogrids. The block system allows you to build retaining walls to different heights and in different shapes, to suit different surroundings, featuring an attractive finish that makes them an aesthetically pleasing solution for the private building sector, too.
As with any supporting structure, they must be suitably calculated and sized to meet applicable code requirements. Our Technical Department is here to help designers at the calculation stages.
